Love Between Lines

Love Between Lines follows Hu Xiu, a young woman struggling to move forward after a painful breakup and personal setbacks. Looking for an escape from reality, she joins an immersive Republic of China–themed murder mystery game. Inside the game, she meets the enigmatic Qin Xiaoyi, a character portrayed by actor Xiao Zhiyu, whose charm and mystery quickly capture her attention. As the game unfolds, Hu Xiu and Xiao Zhiyu begin crossing paths in the real world. What starts as a connection between fictional characters gradually develops into a genuine relationship as the boundaries between fantasy and reality become increasingly blurred. Together, they navigate career challenges, emotional wounds, and the masks people wear to protect themselves from heartbreak. Adapted from the novel Ga Xi (轧戏).
