About ZEROBASEONE (ZB1)

Background

ZEROBASEONE (제로베이스원), commonly abbreviated as ZB1, is a five-member South Korean boy group under WAKEONE Entertainment. The current ZEROBASEONE members are Kim Jiwoong, Sung Hanbin, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae and Park Gunwook. Originally formed as a nine-member project group through Mnet's survival competition Boys Planet, ZEROBASEONE officially debuted on July 10, 2023, with its first mini album, Youth in the Shade, and the title track "In Bloom." The group's name represents the journey from zero to one, symbolizing nine trainees coming together to create a new beginning. Their official fandom name is ZEROSE (제로즈), also stylized as ZE_ROSE.

ZEROBASEONE quickly established itself as one of the most commercially successful groups of K-pop's fifth generation. Its debut album sold more than one million copies shortly after release, and the group went on to achieve six consecutive million-selling Korean albums. During its original nine-member era, ZEROBASEONE released popular songs including "In Bloom," "CRUSH," "Feel the POP," "GOOD SO BAD," "BLUE" and "ICONIK." The group's original two-and-a-half-year project arrangement concluded in 2026, and four members—Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin and Han Yujin—departed following the group's final nine-member concerts in March. The remaining five members continued as ZEROBASEONE and released their first album as a reorganized group, Ascend-, on May 18, 2026, featuring the title track "TOP 5."
