Reborn Rookie Sets JTBC’s Highest Weekend Drama Rating of 2026

JTBC’s Reborn Rookie continues to gain momentum, setting a new ratings record for the network’s weekend dramas in 2026.

According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 3, which aired on June 6, recorded nationwide ratings of 6.7% and 6.6% in the Seoul metropolitan area. The episode also reached a peak viewership rating of 8.1%, making it JTBC’s highest-rated weekend drama episode of the year so far.

The latest episode saw Hwang Jun Hyun (Lee Jun Young), who secretly carries the soul of Chairman Kang Yong Ho (Son Hyun Joo), take a major step forward in his revenge plan. After gaining Kang Bang Geul (Lee Joo Myung) as an ally, he successfully secured control of Kang Jae Sung’s massive slush fund, giving him a powerful advantage in the battle for control of Choi Sung Group.

The episode ended with Hwang Jun Hyun gaining access to nearly 300 billion won in hidden funds, leaving viewers eager to see how he will use his newfound resources in the episodes ahead.

With ratings continuing to climb and the story entering a new phase, Reborn Rookie is quickly emerging as one of JTBC’s biggest drama hits of 2026.
