Shin Hae Sun Confirmed to Lead New SBS Mystery Romance Drama “Dash”

Actress Shin Hae Sun has officially been confirmed as the lead of SBS's upcoming drama Dash.

The announcement was made on June 1 during SBS's drama media event, "SBS DRAMA: NEXT EPISODE," where the broadcaster unveiled several upcoming projects scheduled for future release.

Dash is a mystery-suspense romance drama centered on Min Hwa Young, a prosecutor who is determined to pursue justice at any cost. Her life takes an unexpected turn when her husband suddenly becomes the prime suspect in a murder case, forcing her to choose between protecting the man she loves and uncovering the truth.

Shin Hae Sun will play Min Hwa Young, the head prosecutor of Special Investigation Division 1 at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. Known for her intelligence, determination, and unwavering commitment to justice, Hwa Young has spent years climbing the ranks while secretly searching for answers surrounding her mother's mysterious death.

Despite overcoming countless obstacles to reach one of the most powerful positions within the prosecution, her carefully controlled life begins to unravel when her husband is implicated in a shocking murder investigation. As the lines between personal loyalty and professional duty blur, Hwa Young must confront painful truths while pursuing justice without compromise.

The production team expressed strong confidence in Shin Hae Sun's casting, stating that she was the ideal actress to portray Min Hwa Young's emotional and relentless journey. They highlighted her ability to capture the character's desperation and determination as she continues searching for the truth, even when the pursuit threatens to destroy her own life.

The drama is expected to showcase a darker and more intense side of Shin Hae Sun's acting range, following her acclaimed performances in projects such as Mr. Queen, Welcome to Samdal-ri, See You in My 19th Life, and Filing for Love.
