She attended Hwangseong Elementary School, Geunhwa Girls' Middle School, and later Hanlim Performing Arts High School while preparing for an entertainment career.
Before joining RESCENE, Zena competed on the survival program Stars Awakening, where she showcased her performance skills before being eliminated in Episode 7.
