Sota Fukushi (Japanese: 福士蒼汰; born May 30, 1993) is a Japanese actor represented by Ken-On, known for his wide range of roles in television and film. He was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, where he was discovered after being photographed for a magazine feature and subsequently scouted by Ken-On in 2010. Shortly after joining the agency, he made his acting debut in 2011 with a role in the NTV drama Misaki Number One!!.
Fukushi first gained major attention when he was selected from thousands of applicants to play Gentaro Kisaragi in the iconic tokusatsu series Kamen Rider Fourze (2011–2012), a role that helped catapult him into the spotlight. Since then, he has starred in a variety of popular projects across genres, including the romantic drama film Say “I Love You” (2014), the fantasy thriller As the Gods Will (2014), and the live-action adaptation of Bleach (2018), where he portrayed the lead character Ichigo Kurosaki.
Beyond film, Fukushi has taken on memorable television roles in dramas such as Koinaka (2015), My Lover’s Secret (2017), and more recent series like Ai no Nai Koibitotachi (2024).
