Yang Chaoyue is a Chinese actress, singer, and former idol born in Dafeng District, Yancheng, Jiangsu, China. She graduated from Dafeng Second Middle School before entering the entertainment industry.
Her career began in 2016 when she responded to a recruitment advertisement for a national idol selection program organized by Wenlan Culture. She successfully advanced into the top 40 trainees and completed a month of training. Although she did not initially place among the final winners, she joined the project after several contestants withdrew and became a member of the temporary group Qiu Qiu Baobei (球球宝贝).
In 2017, the members of Qiu Qiu Baobei were reorganized into the idol group CH2. Yang participated in the group's activities and released music before gaining nationwide fame in 2018 through the survival show Produce 101 China.
During the competition, Yang captured public attention with her sincerity, relatable personality, and determination. She ultimately ranked third in the final public vote and debuted as a member of Rocket Girls 101, one of the most successful Chinese project girl groups.
