Doctor on the Edge follows Do Ji Ui, a talented plastic surgeon who fulfills his mandatory military service as a public health doctor rather than serving in the armed forces. Assigned to Pyeondong-do, a remote and isolated island far from the mainland, Ji Ui expects a quiet year of medical service before returning to his normal life. However, from the moment he arrives, he realizes that something is deeply wrong.
