Choi Woo-sung (born May 21, 1997) is a South Korean actor known for roles in Room Sharing, Chief Detective 1958, and Can This Love Be Translated?, rising from supporting drama roles to award-winning film performances.
Choi Woo Sung (Korean: 최우성; born May 21, 1997) is a South Korean actor known for his versatile supporting and lead roles in both television and film. Born in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, he began his acting career in 2019 with appearances in series such as At Eighteen and Welcome 2 Life.
He steadily appeared in numerous popular dramas, including The King: Eternal Monarch and It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (2020), before landing more prominent roles in Melancholia, Police University, and She Would Never Know.
In 2022, Choi gained wider recognition for his breakthrough role as Ji-woong in the film Room Sharing, which earned him the Best New Actor Award at the 42nd Golden Cinematography Awards.
He continued to build momentum with his role as Cho Kyung-hwan in the retro crime drama Chief Detective 1958 (2024) and went on to appear in the 2025 series I Am a Running Mate as Yang Won-dae.
Choi also expanded his international exposure by joining the cast of the Netflix series Can This Love Be Translated? (released January 16, 2026), in which he portrays Kim Yong-woo, the manager of top actress Cha Mu-hee.
