Background
Born in Yinchuan, Ningxia Province, China, He Yu initially pursued a completely different career path from entertainment. He graduated from Chongqing University's Department of Architecture, one of China's respected academic programs, before continuing his studies at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
After returning to China, He Yu shifted his focus toward the performing arts and further developed his acting skills through the renowned Liu Tianchi Performance Workshop.
Before officially debuting as an actor, he also gained experience behind the camera. In 2018, he co-produced the CCTV documentary China Business Card alongside actress Jiang Yi Yan, showcasing an early interest in storytelling and media production.
