Lee Sung Kyung

Lee Sung-kyung (이성경) is a South Korean model, actress, and singer known for her breakout roles in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, Cheese in the Trap, The Doctors, and the Dr. Romantic series, as well as her versatile presence across television, film, and music.

Lee Sung-kyung was born on August 10, 1990, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea and graduated from Dongduk Women’s University.

She began her career in entertainment as a model, competing in the 17th Korean Super Model Contest in 2008 before branching into acting. Lee made her acting debut in 2014 with a supporting role in It’s Okay, That’s Love, and soon gained recognition for her dynamic performances in television dramas such as Cheese in the Trap, The Doctors, and her breakout lead role in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.

Known for her striking on-screen presence and versatility, she continued to star in popular series including Dr. Romantic 2 & 3 and Shooting Stars, establishing herself as one of South Korea’s notable actresses.

Outside of acting, Lee Sung-kyung has appeared in films such as Miss & Mrs. Cops and Love+Sling, and has also pursued music, including a solo release.
