Background
Lee Sung-kyung was born on August 10, 1990, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea and graduated from Dongduk Women’s University.
She began her career in entertainment as a model, competing in the 17th Korean Super Model Contest in 2008 before branching into acting. Lee made her acting debut in 2014 with a supporting role in It’s Okay, That’s Love, and soon gained recognition for her dynamic performances in television dramas such as Cheese in the Trap, The Doctors, and her breakout lead role in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo.
