Born Zhong Chenle on November 22, 2001, in Shanghai, China, Chenle was already an accomplished singer long before becoming a K-pop idol. As a child prodigy, he built an impressive résumé by performing at prestigious venues, appearing on national television, and releasing music in China. At just nine years old, he became the youngest soloist to perform at Vienna's Golden Hall (Musikverein), where he sang "Memory" from the musical Cats.
