Background
Born on April 16, 2004, in Busan, South Korea, JINI discovered her love for performing at a young age after watching performances by KARA on television. Captivated by the group's stage presence and charisma, she decided she wanted to become an idol herself. Her interest in dance grew even further after accompanying her cousin to a dance academy, where she quickly fell in love with performing.
She eventually caught the attention of JYP Entertainment during an open audition held at her dance academy, performing NoNoNo by Apink along with a jazz dance routine. After joining JYP in 2016, she trained for six years before debuting as one of the founding members of NMIXX in 2022. Following her departure from the group later that same year, she signed with ATOC and reintroduced herself as JINI, beginning a new chapter as a solo artist and actress.
