82MAJOR (에이티투메이저) is a six-member South Korean boy group under Great M Entertainment consisting of Seongil, Yechan, Seongmo, Seongbin, Seokjoon and Dogyun. The group officially debuted on October 11, 2023, with the single album ON. Their name combines "82," South Korea's international calling code, with "MAJOR," representing their ambition to go beyond Korea and become a major presence globally. Before debut, several of the members were introduced through Great M Entertainment's pre-debut trainee project RAREHOUSE, where they began sharing music and performance content.
82MAJOR have developed a hip-hop-centered sound and performance style while placing an unusual amount of emphasis on the members' own creative participation. All six members are involved in making music, with members contributing to lyrics, composition and, in some cases, choreography. Since debuting, the group has expanded their discography through releases including BEAT by 82, X-82, SILENCE SYNDROME, Trophy, FEELM and HEAT. They have also taken their performances outside South Korea, including their first North American tour in 2025 and activities in Japan.

Fan-made pieces inspired by drama nights, bias feelings, and soft delulu moods.
The "82" in 82MAJOR comes from South Korea's international calling code, +82. The members wanted their group name to immediately evoke Korea while reflecting their goal of becoming globally recognized artists.
All six 82MAJOR members participate in making music. Seongil has said that their interest in creating music continues even after group practices, with the members working on their own songs individually.
The members collectively participated in creating "82," a track that directly references the number at the center of the group's identity.
Five of 82MAJOR's six members were born in 2004. Dogyun, born in 2006, is the only member who isn't a 2004-liner.
Despite having an official leader in Seongil, the members are extremely close in age. Seokjoon has said this helps them interact almost like a group of friends rather than following a rigid age hierarchy.
Their friendship doesn't mean they never disagree. Seokjoon has said that when conflicts happen, the members try to resolve them through conversation, which he believes has made their teamwork stronger.
Before debut, members of 82MAJOR were introduced through the trainee project RAREHOUSE, where they shared music and performance content.
82MAJOR's pre-debut period included self-created music, giving fans an early look at the members' songwriting and performance abilities before their official debut.
Two members had already appeared on major Korean competition shows before 82MAJOR debuted. Seongbin competed on both Show Me the Money 11 and Boys Planet, while building experience as a rapper and performer.
Yechan grew up in Canada and is the younger brother of P1Harmony leader Keeho, giving 82MAJOR a member who is fluent in English and familiar with both Korean and Canadian culture.
Basketball has had a surprisingly big influence on the group. Yechan played basketball growing up, and his experiences helped inspire the lyrics and terminology used in "Choke."
The group has earned attention for the combination of its music and choreography, with the members sometimes contributing to both sides of a performance. Seongil and Yechan, for example, participated in creating choreography for the pre-debut song "Illegal."
Their fandom name 82DE isn't simply a stylized version of the group's name. It's a wordplay on "attitude," representing the sincere attitude the group wants to maintain toward its fans.
In 2025, 82MAJOR embarked on their debut North American tour, 82 SYNDROME, bringing the group to cities across the United States and Canada.
By 2026, the group had built a seven-release Korean discography consisting of two single albums and five mini albums, culminating in their September 2026 single album HEAT.
