Before debuting with 82MAJOR, Seongbin gained experience through two major Korean competition programs. He competed on Show Me the Money 11, where he passed the first round, and later appeared as a contestant on Mnet's Boys Planet in 2023. Following his survival-show appearances, he joined 82MAJOR and officially debuted with the group on October 11, 2023, with the single album ON.
