Born Wen Junhui on June 10, 1996, in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, Jun entered the entertainment industry long before becoming a K-pop idol. He began acting at just three years old, appearing in television dramas, commercials, and films throughout his childhood. His acting career reached new heights when he portrayed the young Ip Man in The Legend Is Born: Ip Man (2010), while his performance in The Pye Dog (2006) earned him the Best New Actor Silver Award from the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild, making him one of China's most accomplished child actors.
Jun later moved to South Korea after developing an interest in K-pop and joined Pledis Entertainment, where he trained before debuting with SEVENTEEN on May 26, 2015. As a member of the group's Performance Team, he became known for his elegant dancing, expressive stage presence, and gentle personality.
