Amaru

Mitsuyuki Amaru (満行亜丸), professionally known as Amaru (아마루 / アマル), is a Japanese singer, rapper, songwriter and member of the K-pop boy group KickFlip (킥플립) under JYP Entertainment. He was born on October 21, 2005, in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Amaru developed an interest in K-pop at a young age, partly through his mother's enthusiasm for the JYP Entertainment boy group 2PM. Before joining JYP, he trained under YG Entertainment's Japanese training program, where he crossed paths with future TREASURE members, including Asahi and Haruto. His early experience gave him a foundation in singing, rapping and dancing, and he later became known for his powerful vocals and ability to perform in Korean despite growing up in Japan.

In 2021, Amaru competed on the SBS survival program LOUD, a collaboration between JYP Entertainment and P NATION. His performances attracted attention from both companies, and he ultimately chose to join JYP's planned boy group. Following several additional years of training, Amaru officially debuted with KickFlip on January 20, 2025, through the mini album Flip it, Kick it! and title track "Mama Said." As the group's second-oldest member and one of its two Japanese members, he became particularly recognized for his vocal abilities, expressive performances and songwriting contributions. In September 2025, JYP Entertainment announced that Amaru would temporarily suspend activities to prioritize his health. As of October 2026, he remains a member of KickFlip but is continuing his hiatus, while the other six members promote together.
