Background
Born on April 13, 2005, in Namyangju, South Korea, Jiwoo's journey to becoming an idol began through dance. In 2018, she auditioned for JYP Entertainment through DASTREET Dance Academy, showcasing both her singing and dancing abilities by performing Taeyeon's 11:11 and dancing to TWICE's TT. Her performance impressed the company enough to earn her a trainee contract.
After several years of training, Jiwoo became one of the very first NMIXX members introduced to the public. On August 6, 2021, she appeared alongside Jinni and Kyujin in the group's first performance video, immediately drawing attention for her energy and stage presence.
