Meet Zayyan of XODIAC: learn about the Indonesian singer's age, height, zodiac, background, journey to K-pop, Rising Star and Indonesian Idol appearances, musical talents, hobbies and fun facts.
Muhammad Rifki Fahri Zayyan, known professionally as Zayyan, is an Indonesian singer and member of the K-pop boy group XODIAC. He was born on February 23, 2000, and is from Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. His journey toward becoming a K-pop idol began years before his move to South Korea. Zayyan pursued singing opportunities in Indonesia through competitions including Rising Star Indonesia and Indonesian Idol, worked as a talent for Korean entertainment media channel CoppaMagzTV, and created his own YouTube channel, ZYYN, where he uploaded song covers. His early attempts at breaking into the music industry did not immediately lead to a debut, but he continued pursuing music and eventually traveled to South Korea to train.
Zayyan was introduced as part of One Cool Jacso Entertainment's pre-debut trainee project OCJ Newbies before being selected for XODIAC's final lineup. He officially debuted with XODIAC on April 25, 2023, with "Throw A Dice," taking part in the group's vocals and dance performances. His debut was particularly notable in his home country, where he became one of the small number of Indonesian performers to enter the Korean idol industry. Zayyan has continued to embrace his Indonesian identity while promoting in South Korea, and his multilingual and musical abilities have helped him navigate XODIAC's multinational lineup.

Zayyan's full name is Muhammad Rifki Fahri Zayyan, and he was born on February 23, 2000, in Indonesia. He comes from Tangerang in Banten, an area just outside Jakarta.
Zayyan has family roots in different parts of Indonesia. His father's side of the family is Sundanese, while his mother's side is from Palembang, giving him connections to two distinct Indonesian cultural backgrounds.
His dream of becoming a singer started long before XODIAC. In 2018, at around 18 years old, Zayyan auditioned for the third season of Rising Star Indonesia, although his journey ended during the audition stage.
One unsuccessful audition didn't stop him from trying again. Zayyan later competed on Indonesian Idol Season 10, where he progressed further before eventually being eliminated, giving him another taste of performing in a competitive environment before becoming a K-pop trainee.
Before moving to Korea, Zayyan worked as a talent and presenter for CoppaMagzTV, an Indonesian media channel focused on Korean entertainment. That meant he was already professionally involved with Korean pop culture before becoming part of it as an idol himself.
Zayyan also ran a personal YouTube channel called ZYYN, where he shared vocal covers as he continued pursuing music. His covers weren't limited to K-pop; he performed songs associated with artists including Justin Bieber, Adele, Afgan and Tulus.
He isn't limited to singing and dancing. During XODIAC's debut showcase, Zayyan introduced himself by revealing that he had learned to play three musical instruments: the saxophone, ukulele and piano.
His ukulele skills later got their own moment in the spotlight when XODIAC appeared alongside BLACKSWAN for Weekly Idol. Behind-the-scenes content from the appearance showed Zayyan playing the instrument for the other artists.
Zayyan has been interested in K-pop since before becoming an idol himself. At XODIAC's debut showcase, he explained that K-pop was very popular in Indonesia and that his longtime interest in it helped inspire his own dream of becoming a singer.
Despite finally achieving that dream, Zayyan was visibly nervous during XODIAC's debut showcase while introducing himself in Korean. When the MC noticed, Zayyan admitted that he was nervous but explained that he was also extremely happy to have finally debuted.
Zayyan speaks Indonesian, English and Korean, with Korean becoming particularly important after he moved countries to pursue his idol career and began promoting as part of a multilingual group.
When he isn't performing, Zayyan enjoys gaming and has been a longtime League of Legends player. His interest in the game goes back to before his idol career, and he has previously played and streamed the game through his social media activities.
Zayyan is a big fan of fried chicken, especially Korean yangnyeom chicken, but he hasn't abandoned Indonesian comfort food after moving abroad. Among the Indonesian foods he enjoys are nasi goreng, bakso and satay.
He enjoys watching movies across several genres but has expressed a particular preference for action and comedy films, making those his go-to choices when it comes to entertainment outside music.
Zayyan once described himself as somewhat nerdy during middle school because, rather than joining his classmates to play soccer, he preferred staying inside the classroom and drawing.
During the filming of XODIAC's "Phantom Fire" music video, the members became so exhausted that some of them actually fell asleep during a scene where they were supposed to look unconscious. Hyunsik specifically called out Zayyan as one of the members who genuinely dozed off during filming.
When asked which song from XODIAC's 2026 mini album Phantom Fire he would recommend, Zayyan chose "Starlight." He loves its cheerful sound and said he could imagine the group performing it together as an encore at a concert.
Zayyan once received a surprisingly persuasive Valentine's Day confession while he was still in elementary school. A close female friend gave him chocolate and a letter promising that if he dated her, she would give him chocolate every day — but Zayyan still turned her down.
